BeatJar vs Unique Song: which custom song should you give?

BeatJar and Unique Song agree on the most important thing: you should hear the song before you pay. From there they part ways. Unique Song plays twice as much of it — a full verse and chorus — delivers in half the time, puts it on Spotify, writes in 50+ languages, and keeps your song intact when you fix a word. Here is the side-by-side.

The short version

Side by side

BeatJar figures from its own website and Trustpilot profile on 20 October 2026. Unique Song figures from unique-song.com and Trustpilot on the same day.

What you know before you pay

BeatJar shows you the lyrics and plays the first 45 seconds before you pay. That is a real advantage over services that charge first, and it is the same principle Unique Song is built on. The difference is how much you get to judge. Forty-five seconds is an intro and the start of a verse. Ninety seconds is the verse and the chorus — the part with their name in it, the part they will sing back to you.

At Unique Song the order is reversed. You answer a few questions about them, and before anything is charged you hear 90 seconds of their actual song: a full verse and the chorus. Their name, the memory you gave us, the voice, the style. It is enough to know whether this is the song you want to hand them. Most people who listen to the preview already know; what is left afterwards is fine-tuning, not guessing.

That is the whole reason the preview is 90 seconds and not a clip. A clip tells you what a service sounds like. Ninety seconds tells you what your song sounds like.

How each song is made

BeatJar's website says "we write the song for you". Its Trustpilot company description says songs are made "using your story and the power of advanced AI paired with professional music production". Its own reviewers describe the edit flow: change a word in the lyrics and the whole song, melody included, is regenerated. One recent two-star review asked why a simple correction could not keep the music and vocals.

Unique Song songs go through a proprietary multi-stage conception and production process. We do not publish the details, because the process is what sets the songs apart. What we can say is what you receive: a wide choice of genres, moods and voices, so the song sounds like them and not like a template, with the option to hear it in a new style later from your song page; a quality team that reviews every song before it reaches your inbox; and the ability to correct a name, a place or a pronunciation from your own song page without writing an email.

What customers say

Both services have five-star reviews that say the same thing: somebody cried. Where the two profiles differ is in how the reviews got there and what happens when something goes wrong.

BeatJar has 1,093 Trustpilot reviews at 4.9, 676 of them in the last twelve months. Trustpilot labels the profile as one that asks customers to review, and the company replies to 55% of negative reviews.

Unique Song's profile carries Trustpilot's "no recent history of asking for reviews" label: all 3,699 reviews were left by customers on their own, 3,696 of them in the last twelve months, and every negative review gets a reply.

Take off the mascara, girls. You will cry. I listened to the song I had made for my husband and cried all seven times before I gave it to him.Paula S., Unique Song customer, Trustpilot

I listened to the first verse and, quite honestly, was blown away. She plays it for everyone that comes over.Mike, Unique Song customer, Trustpilot
